The newly expanded, Electric Forest Festival, has recently announced their initial lineups for both weekends of 2017. They have also opened up all ticketing options for sale to the public. This years expansion means the festival will be held over the last two weekends of June (Weekend One, June 22 – 25, and Weekend Two, June 29 – July 2nd). Each weekend will see a 10% reduction in total number of patrons allowed to attend. It is said this was done for two reasons. One, to allow more people to experience the forest, due to the high demand for tickets; and two, to not compromise the integrity of the the experience, by cutting down on over crowding. How much will a 10% reduction in patrons really cut down on overcrowding is to be seen, but it sounds nice.
Both lineups definitely have repeat performers as promised, but they also have their own individual artists; making each weekend unique in it’s own way.
Artist that appear on Both Weekends: 2 sets of The String Cheese Incident, Bassnectar, A-Trak, Big Gigantic, Lotus, Big Wild, Lettuce, The Floozies, Papadosio, Trevor Hall, Vince Staples, and Waka Flaka Flame.
*These repeat artist WILL NOT be playing the same sets for both weekends; making each set and weekend its own unique experience*
Artist that appear on Weekend One Only: ODESZA, My Morning Jacket, Above & Beyond, Nero (Live), AC Slater, Eric Krasno Band, Troyboi, Zomboy
Artist that appear on Weekend Two Only: DJ Snake, RL Grime, Thievery Corporation, Alison Wonderland, Cashmere Cat, GTA, Mick Jenkins
*These are both only initial lineups. MANY MORE artists will be announced for each weekend.*
As previously stated, all ticketing and camping options are now available through public on-sale, but some options are already completely sold-out. General admission packages are available starting at $297.75 for each weekend, and parking passes are starting at $70.00. VIP, or “GOOD LIFE VILLAGE” wristbands, start at $699.00; only weekend two is still available at that price. All the aforementioned price levels listed, are not including any processing, convenience, or shipping fees; these will be added to the order once one checks-out.
Last year, the entire 2016 festival, general admission to VIP, sold out before the December 31, 2015, and there wasn’t even an initial lineup posted at the time. There also wasn’t two consecutive weekends of the festival last year, so demand was much higher. That being said, Electric Forest has become one of the most coveted festival tickets of the season. So, if you are thinking about going, you shouldn’t sleep on buying the tickets, because you may wake up one morning soon to find EF2017 completely sold-out.
