The new year is almost upon us, and as we finalize our holiday plans, one of the most important details remain- which NYE festival will you be attending this year?
NYE festivals are popping up all over the US, with heavy hitting lineups on each. So, which festival has MF365 making major plans for 2019? “Once again we return to our immaculate utopia to indulge in two nights of pure bliss and sonic delight. Gaze upon our dazzling city and experience a trip away from reality with friends and loved ones at the biggest and best end of the year festival celebration.” – Ok, maybe that’s a little much, but it’s not unwarranted: Decadence, Colorado.
Decadence, CO has one of the more diverse lineups for an end of the year celebration, featuring a nice blend of house, bass, and dubstep. Even though we all witnessed the social media shitstorm when festival-goers thought Decadence’s fate had been sealed by strictly house, Global Dance proved by round two of announcements that they know what they’re doing. Like always.
Headlining artists include Skrillex, Griz, Bassnectar, Anti Up, Claude Vonstroke, Eric Prydz, Zeds Dead, Deorro, Alison Wonderland, Nora En Pure, Sudden Death B2B Must Die, Illenium and more.
So, what can we expect from the City Beyond Tomorrow this year? They’ve teased us with hints of Griz bringing us into the New Year- we still have our fingers crossed for this one. But yet to be released is the lineup for Silent Disco, as well as a few more surprise artists they have up their sleeves. We’re counting on another incredible two nights of production and sound, with artists actually sticking around for the festivities. (Last year, we turned around at Nectar to find Jeremy from Big G leaned up against the rail enjoying the set).
While Decadence seems to receive its fair share of hate- like any festival – we continue to be impressed with their ability to bring the sense of opulence we all enjoy at New Years to a music festival in the bass capital. We still maintain that putting Silent Disco in between two main stages was an incredible way to introduce more music and a third stage into a smaller space than most, but we digress. Like years past, we expect there will be no shortage of entertainment from art installations, to performers, and music.
2 Day Tickets have hit Tier 3, so if you slept on making concrete plans for NYE, you’ll be paying a hefty $285 after taxes; however, we will say, anything you do in Denver over that weekend will cost you close to this amount. Let’s be real, once you start hitting the bars, you’ll easily rack up a tab close to this over the course of Saturday-Monday. VIP tickets are currently priced at $397 for two days. Single day passes are also available for $150 on the 30th, and $170 on the 31st. Both of these have hit Tier 3 prices.
The clock is winding down, and if you haven’t finalized your plans for NYE, we suggest you choose to bring in 2019 with MusicFests365. You might recall we’ve dropped a few hints at a surprise we have coming for you, and while we’re still not able to divulge the details, you’ll want to be a part of the NYE festivities in Denver. Especially if you like bass.
