Earlier today, Getter took to social media to announce that he would not be playing the remaining 7 stops on his Visceral tour.
Word spread quickly throughout the community following the debut of the Visceral tour that so-called fans of Getter were not impressed by his attempt to switch things up. Getter expressed his feelings via Twitter on the matter many times before ultimately releasing this statement.

Fellow EDM artists were quick to respond with their condolences, expressing frustration with the lack of respect being displayed in the community.

https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsBreaks my heart man, I’ll always support u. U taught me so much about music personally and through ur art, and i accentuate the word art. Thanks for everything you’ve done, I hope u find solace in this decision and it leads to a brighter path, one that you deserve.

https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsMan. the album is so beautiful and inspiring & I have so much respect for you for challenging listeners and making unapologetic art. You’ve changed a lot of peoples’ lives for the better through your music, and you should be immensely proud of your body of work. Sending love. ❤️

https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsI’ve been through the hate when I started switching up my style and sets and this really hits home. Don’t give up, fuck what people think and fuck their expectations, don’t play fair, play whatever you want, you’re an inspiration and a mercenary, you got this.

https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsThis makes me so sad man. Ive had a lot of good friends that went to the shows and were absolutely amazed. The album was incredible and you by far had my favourite/most original stage design i’ve seen in years. Would’ve loved to see one of the shows, people suck keep your head up

https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsDude this makes me so sad. You’re pushing our culture forward and it sucks that some ppl can’t appreciate that. I can’t wait to see what you do next and I know there’s a whole community that feels the same way

If you know us, you know MusicFests doesn’t condone hatred, intolerance, or disrespect. Please, don’t be that guy that boos a DJ because you can’t understand his or her art.
Getter, our thoughts are with you at MF365. We hope you find balance and well-being during this rough time.
