The second year of the wildly anticipated Hijinx Music Festival was recently announced, inciting pure pandemonium in those looking for an early New Years Eve throw down. The sophomore edition of the event delivers an outrageously stacked line-up, that some would say even tops last years with headliners including Skrillex, Zeds Dead, Porter Robinson (DJ SET), yes you read that correctly – a Porter DJ set – as well as the return of Griz and Bassnectar. Musicfests365 will yet again be in attendance and after last years shenanigans, we couldn’t be more excited.

While showing no signs of holding back, it seems like Hijinx will yet again spare no expense when it comes to the acts gracing the stage at the Philadelphia based event, aren’t we lucky? It’s not often you see heavyweights like Bassnectar, Skrillex, Zeds Dead, Porter Robinson, Excision, SLANDER, and Griz on the same bill but the very thorough and complete line-up is what continues to draw monstrous crowds from near and far. Undercards like CloZee, Droeloe, Subtronics, Big Wild and more round off a perfectly balanced and curated weekend of dance music from start to finish with all signs point to year two being even bigger and better than the last! Attendees can begin to prepare themselves to witness the leading line up of the winter festival season live and in action at the Pennsylvania Convention Center this December.

After getting a lay of the land last year, here’s a little of what to expect from your 2019 Hijinx experience:

1. Amazing sound! This is always a big one for us as indoor venues can prove to be a bit tricky when it comes to sound engineering but Hijinx passed with flying colors here. Viewing spots across the entire venue provided pure, crisp and clean sound.
2. The crowd vibes were on point as everyone prepared to bring in the new year surrounded by friends and loved ones while jamming to your favorite artists, pure bliss.
3. The venue was awesome and had a sweet underground warehouse feel. Everything was easily accessible for the most part, bathrooms, vendors, food/drink etc. In regard to entrances, lines and security, were all decently fast and pleasant. Almost no negative reviews, as we didn’t really see or hear of anyone have a bad experience, this is always a big plus.

Overall we were vastly impressed with the debut of Hijinx Music Festival and certain that year two will not disappoint. In an increasingly saturated festival market, Hijinx did an amazing job securing its spot as a newcomer that is here to stay and we couldn’t be happier about it.
